Description
"Saving just one animal won't change the world but, the world will surely change for that one animal"
When my baby girl puts her paw in her mouth I know she is ready to go sound asleep! When she first did this my heart just melted.
We rescued Kiana from a kill shelter in Colorado. She had been there for over 6 weeks and her time was up! I couldn't have that, so I got ahold of a local rescue group and told them I would go get her and foster her until she found a forever home! My husband and I drove 2 1/2 hours one way to pick her up and she was with us for 2 days. I knew she had found her forever home. We adopted her! Rescue dogs are the best! Adopt ~ Don't Shop!
Every print I sell in my gallery, a portion of my proceeds will be donated to Animal Rescue.

We welcome this sweet portrait to The 200 Club, a "rising star" photography group in which only a select few are featured. It is my pleasure to feature desirable art work like this. Congratulations on your new dog, your well-deserved feature in our high activity group and elsewhere and on your hundreds of views.

Your Kiana is beautiful Fiona! What a lovely photograph and such a wonderful story of how she came to be with you. Both of my dogs are rescue dogs as was a previous dog who lived a long and happy life with us after he was also on death row. L/F
Fiona Kennard replied:
Thank you very much Linda for your kind words and thank you so much for saving your rescue dogs from death row. I can tell you have a kind & caring heart.

OMG! So gorgeous and she?he? looks just like my dog, Flanagan. Seriously. They could be identical twins! The tags say Samoyed, is it? Flanagan is a Chow Mix, a rescued Chow Mix. 3 little puppies left alone, at night, outside a no kill shelter in Mississippi. They stole my heart... took Flanagan and his beautiful Blue/Black Chow sister, Bridget Marie. Anyway, fabulous photos! Thank you! Eileen McDonald
Fiona Kennard replied:
Thank you so much for your wonderful comment, Eileen! This is Kiana and she is a Samoyed/Great Pyrenees mix. She loves to put her paw in her month just before she goes sound asleep. I have never seen anything like it before. She melts my heart. Thank you so much for rescuing Flanagan and Bridget Marie! I bet they are gorgeous! I like your heart, Eileen! Thank you for stopping by..Take care, Fiona

This image makes me smile, partly for her beauty and partly because you adopted her and saved her life. It's so sad how many animals die each year. Beautiful image and dog. f/l
Fiona Kennard replied:
It is so very sad how many animals die every year! It truly breaks my heart! Thank you for your kind comments and your support, Karen!
